Attention to all MEMBERS!

There will be an official cancellation of parade for this Saturday (27/6).
This is to take precaution against the growing number of cases of the H1N1 disease (aka Swine flu).

As this decision is quite sudden, please help to spread the word around.
So to recap: there will be NO PARADE this week!
Do NOT go for BB as there won't be any.

Thanks!

P/S: Do call your squad/platoon leaders if you have any questions.

A reminder to all recruits that the Cooking Test would be THIS SATURDAY (6/6)

What would you be cooking? >> Your very own Fried Rice

How would you be cooking it? >> Stoves would be provided

* What would you be putting inside it? >> Now that's for you to decide. In order to make things a bit more interesting, your fried rice must meet the following requirements:
- NO frozen mixed veg is allowed (cause that's so boring and common)
- NO rice cooked from home is allowed (you shall cook your rice there and then)
- There must be FOUR different ingredients in your F.R (salt / pepper/ kicap /oil etc are not counted!)
- The F.R must be topped with a Bull's Eye/ Sunny side-up egg. No scramble/ omelette or any other form of eggs are allowed. If you don't know how to make a Bull's Eye egg, I reckon you start learning NOW.

How long would we be given to cook? >> ONE hour

How would you be judged? >> A definite PASS as long as the F.R isn't burnt and inedible :)

Lastly, don't forget to bring ALL THE UTENSILS needed to cook! No borrowing is allowed! (A wok would not provided by us, mind you)

Thanks, see you all on Saturday and please come prepared and fired up to cook! :D

Pre-camp reminders!

Greetings to all campers!

We are officially 4 days away from camp, and here are a couple of things you might need to know:

Number 1:
PLEASE, inform your parents when you should be at church and when you will be coming back!
Be at FBC Pantai at 8AM sharp, on the 30th of May;
and your parents can fetch you at 4PM, on the 2nd of June!

You MUST be in your BB Uniform. Full Dress and all polished.

One more thing. Have your breakfast before you come, okay?

Number 2:
It is important that you bring proper footwear for the activities at camp!

There are 2 activities that require these exact footwear:
1: Mountain School Challenge - Sports Shoes with Grip
2: Adventure at Gua Tempurung - Sports Shoes/Sandals that can get wet

Those 2 footwears are a must! Other than that, you may bring your flip flops/slippers if you want. =)

Number 3:
Members, you may bring your phones. Whoa, wait! Only into your parents car on the way to church.
This is to enable us to call you if you are somehow late. (however we hope you don't) =)

Number 4:
Get a good night's sleep the day before camp! On the first day we are going to be doing a lot of heavy activities, so rest well!

Number 5:
After reading all of this, double check again to see if you have done all of the above!
PS: Don't forget the rice.

That is it for now,
See you all at the campsite!
